Director of Standards and Calibration Laboratory

  • Job Duties:
    Supervise and coordinate all activities in the Field Services and Final Test Departments. Manage Department personnel activities including hiring staff, conducting wage and performance reviews, developing and implementing personnel training and certification, overseeing manufactured equipment sales and ongoing client support, and serving as member of Phenix Technologies’ management team. Work with high-voltage/high-current test equipment; develop and test products prior to shipping; supervise on-site repairs and calibrations for products after shipping; develop company capabilities to achieve high-voltage/high-current calibration accreditation; participate in National and International Standards and Calibration committees; develop professional relations with National and International Calibration and Research Laboratories; and present technical papers to promote Phenix’s equipment and services in support of the company’s marketing efforts.
  • Job Requirements:
    Master’s in Electrical Engineering plus 3 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer; 3 years of experience in International Voltage Calibration Standards and methods; 3 years of experience managing calibration techniques and training staff; and experience delivering presentations at a minimum of 2 International Standard’s Committees in engineering field. All experience may be concurrent.

Electrical Engineer

  • Minimum BSEE, knowledge of single & three phase AC power circuits.
  • Responsibilities include power, control & metering circuit design for high power industrial electrical test equipment.
  • Experience using AUTOCAD and SPICE, or equivalent software will be beneficial.

Field Service Technician

  • Perform testing, service, and calibration of relay, PLC, and microprocessor controlled test equipment at our customers’ locations worldwide.
  • Associates Degree in electrical technology, electronics or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience working with power electronics preferred.
  • Extensive on the job training is provided.
  • Travel is required.
